The Mildura Base Hospital is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist for a full-time position. The successful applicant will be supported by an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team in a modern, well equipped facility.
 
This position requires an enthusiastic individual able to rotate through all aspects of our Occupational Therapy service. The Department of Health and Human Services seeks an enthusiastic Senior Occupational Therapist to take up a position based in Launceston, in the north of the State.

The Northern Area Health Service incorporates the Launceston General Hospital (LGH), a 300 bed public hospital providing acute care facilities for residents of Launceston and the Northern Region of Tasmania, a number of District Hospitals and Health Centres, as well as community outreach services.  The Occupational Therapy Department specialises in assisting clients to regain and maintain independence with daily living and life skills, both in the acute services as well as inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and community outreach.  This role offers the opportunity to develop skills within a variety of clinical areas (by negotiation), and has excellent supervision and support systems to continue to develop expertise in clinical reasoning and clinical interventions. 

Your role as a Senior Occupational Therapist will be to promote, develop and provide services to clients in the NAHS, utilising high level of clinical reasoning in order to improve occupational outcomes for patients.  As a leader in the multi disciplinary team you will be required to provide supervision, support and guidance to Level 1 Occupational Therapists and students, as well as providing advice and education to other staff when required.

HP3 & HP4 Occupational Therapist - Queensland
 
Occupational Therapist required for Queensland based Coastal Hospital. My client requires an OT who is available immediately or in the next few weeks to work in the acute service across surgical, medical and hands and burns outpatients.
 
The role is a .8 EFT - 4 days per week for initially a 3 month fixed term contract. HP3 or HP4 level will be considered as long as you have enough experience to hit the ground running in a busy acute team! If the idea of a 3 day weekend appeals to you, great but if you do require full time hours it may be possible to gain another days work with another local organisation.
 
There is no hospital accommodation on offer however it is possible for a boarding arrangement to be organised with one of your new future colleagues. This is a great opportunity for an OT to experience the coastal life of Australia.

Senior Clinician - Occupational Therapist (VG3 - VG6)

GOULBURN VALLEY AREA MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE

This exciting new position will provide Discipline Senior professional leadership across all programs areas of Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health Service and Mental Illness Fellowship Victoria in Shepparton and Seymour to support undergraduate and post graduate Occupational Therapist placement and practice. The incumbent will provide high level advice for the discipline to senior management and work closely with other discipline seniors i.e. Nursing, Psychology and Social Work to maximise learning opportunities for Occupational Therapists by encouraging and supporting their interest in a career in mental health.

This role will support Occupational Therapists through advocacy, role modelling and supervision to ensure that their specific skills and contributions are recognised as individuals or as members of a multi-disciplinary team.

The position will also be responsible for providing Occupational Therapy services within the Specialist Residential Rehabilitation Program (SRRP) and Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) services. PARC is a new 10 bed short stay facility with a focus on providing sub acute step up or step down care from the community or acute mental health in-patient unit. SRRP is also a 10 bed facility located adjacent to PARC and provides medium to long tern psychosocial rehabilitation to clients recovering from a serious mental illness.

The incumbent will provide both direct client assessment and treatment planning, as well as work closely with program staff to implement agreed treatment strategies. This may include the provision of both formal and informal staff training around subjects like ADL assessment and program planning. There is also the potential to support the development of group programs within the services.
