Medicare Items
Clients of occupational therapists can access Medicare rebates under three initiatives: Better Access to Mental Healthcare (FPS), Enhanced Primary Care and Helping Children with Autism. More information about each of these initiatives is available under “Initiatives”.
Occupational therapists need to register with Medicare Australia, to enable their clients to access Medicare rebates. More information about this process is available under “Applying for a Provider Number”.
Medicare Australia require health professionals to meet certain requirements in the information that they give clients, including what is included on invoices. You can either bulk bill or privately bill your clients. More information on this is available under “Billing”.
